Flight Attendants may use any other means of transportation to the place of lodging and may claim reimbursement through Concur when:
Hotel-operated transportation does not leave within 35 minutes after aircraft block arrival
Public limousine service (not a hotel van) does not leave within 45 minutes after aircraft block arrival
Flight Attendants must first try to call Crew Accommodations to secure a hotel room for their assigned layover - get names and document the call details
If there is no answer or there are extended call wait times:
For field (short) layovers, Flight Attendants able to secure their own hotel rooms should proceed to the hotel after no more than (30) minutes
For downtown (long) layovers, Flight Attendants able to secure their own rooms should proceed to the hotel after no more than (45) minutes
Once at the hotel, you should notify the Crew Scheduling, local base management, IFDM (or email your supervisor) of your layover details. Crew Accommodations may cover the cost of the hotel rooms by sending a voucher directly to the hotel. Don’t hesitate to ask for this assistance.
If no voucher from Crew Accommodations, you may claim reimbursement through the Concur app
Call any available base (Base Directory)
Take care of each other out there, and if necessary you may expense rooms for other members of your crew who may need assistance.
